Fuuhh!! What a day. I've got like a zillion patients coming in today. Thank god each and everyone of them left the clinic feeling good and pleased. That would mean a lot for me.

Im : Err, jap! Awas! Nk mkn katne? Midnight? Err, Midnight blh?
Papa : Ka...
Im : Papa nk blk rumah dulu ke ape?
Papa : Kalo kat Midnight, kte jumpe kt ctu jelah.
Im: Owh, OK. See u there.
Papa : OK. Bye.
Around 11.15 pm that night...
Hmmm. Where are they? There's a Chinese couple over there. A family with an annoying kid. Some smokers at that far end. Owh! There they are! Wow! Im ordered 2 dishes. Since when did his stomache became a black hole?
After eating, and drinking, and swallowing, and wiping our mouths with a tissue...
Well, looks like everyone's done. I guess I'm going to pay now.
Paying, paying, paying...
Well, I guess we're done no.... What the?! Wow. Birthday presents. They do remember my birthday. How thoughtful.
Papa : Xpe lh. Blk rumah nnt je lah.
Mami : Eyh! X blh! Kna bukak skrg jugak.
Papa : Hmm. OK2.
Well, I wonder what's this box? What?! The label says Playboy? Hahahaahaaaa. Hmm. They can't be serious! Playboy labeled underwear?! And she's asking me to open it now? No way!
Back at home...
Hmm. OK. Let's see if it fits. Wow. It's sort of a bit heavy. What'd they put in there? A rock? Hey? It's a.. It's a.. It's a brand new PHONE?!?!
And there you have it. A birthday surprise for a surprised father, husband and life saver. He's been pulling off that trick a few years ago on us. For Ayai, he gave him a box for his birthday. Filled with anticipation, he opened it expecting some kind of cool stuff. But staring back at him was a pack of Maggi. Clueless and out of breathe, the looks on his face was deceitful. Everyone was sure he was devastated. But fortunately for him, there was a 'secret' compartment underneath that Maggi. When he figured it out, he soon realised that Papa had not let him down. He received a brand new phone if I'm not mistaken. And that was the year we learnt that Papa had learned the arts of surprising people.
So for his 50th birthday, we pulled a trick on him too. Mami was excited to buy a phone for him. But it wouldn't be that awesome if we were to give him by hand. So we went to the men's underwear department and bought some underwear. One particular brand caught my eye. It was called Playboy. And the colour's was as amazing as the brand itself. It was clear white and had some colourful spots all over it. It was just perfect. So when Papa opened up the present, he found some underwear which was actually hiding the real present.
Well, there you go Papa! Hope you had a wonderful day. After 50 years, you've seen pretty much a lot of things. Hope that everything will turn out just fine for you. Especially your expectations on your 4 handsome princes.
